MOSCOW, Apr 16 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russian diamond giant ALROSA fell 47% on the year to 16.1 billion rubles in January–March, as calculated under Russian Accounting Standards (RAS), the company said in a report Tuesday.
Revenue decreased 32% to 49.4 billion rubles “mainly because of a fall in the sales volume and a growing share small gems in the sales which affected an average sale price per carat. These factors also affected the net profit.”
